Fourth Annual Prescott Film Festival – 2013

Mark your calendars now for July 24th – 31st because you won’t want to miss a day of the 2013 Prescott Film Festival! Featuring fantastic films, guest filmmakers, and exciting “Behind the Screens After-Parties” with live music –– all presented on the beautiful campus of Yavapai College! Plus an Awards Brunch on Sunday morning catered by Premier Catering!

This year, for the first time ever, the festival is thrilled to present a shorts program of ALL PRESCOTT FILMS! Proof positive that film and the culture of filmmaking is growing here in Everybody’s Hometown, Prescott Arizona!

Friday evening we will be screening the silent 1927 Uncle Tom’s Cabin with one of the actors from the film, Miss Lassie Lou Ahern! Live music will accompany the film from the inimitable Jonathan Best!

Plus some truly AMAZING films from documentaries, (Running Wild; The Life of Dayton O. Hyde) to comedies, (Putzel) and thrillers (Down and Dangerous) plus SIX shorts programs!

Another first this year is a Film Retrospective –– we will be screening select films from Beth Gage and George Gage, including their newest documentary, Bidder 70, the story of the college student who derailed an illegal BLM oil & gas lease auction. Beth and George will be at the Sunday evening After-Party and their films screen Monday July 29 – Wednesday July 31st.

Filmmaker Discussions will include an afternoon with one of the last living silent film stars, Lassie Lou Ahern (Little Harry in Uncle Tom’s Cabin) Actor David Frankham, who will discuss his years in the Golden Age of Hollywood and the celebrities he was and continues to be – friends with.
