Join Ed Asner and Mark Rydell LIVE in this comedy!
OXYMORONS is a raucous two-character comedy that takes place on a park bench near the polar bear cage at a zoo. Two brothers hash out their sibling rivalries over anything and everything be it money, women or Lincoln Logs!
We will also be screening the short film Good Men a drama about two elderly friends who get into an argument over the circumstances surrounding 9/11. Both Oxymorons and Good Men were written and directed by Brian Connors and star Ed Asner and Mark Rydell.
“Ed Asner and Mark Rydell mine the humor in depression and aging in Oxymorons, as two brothers with old issues to settle in the midst of a present crisis in Rydell’s character, Joey’s, life. Both Mr. Asner and Mr. Rydell have exquisite timing, and it is a pleasure to see Mr. Asner get the most out of every word, gesture, and facial expression as he tries to placate his brother. ….. the conflict between the characters is somewhat resolved by the act of having a dialogue. No matter how the emotions are expressed, they are better off for having shared them with each other.” ~ Susan Ferrari
